Age does not matter
People seem to be sensitive with their age.
They would not want other people to really
know how old they are. Though we seem to
be ashamed to admit of our age but we also
brag about what we have seen in our lifetime.
No matter what. our life is connected with
what has taken place as we grow up.
The topic that we openly talk about and songs
we love to sing. We just state how old we are.
Where were you when this song was popular?
Where were you when JFK was assassinated?
Look who is talking. We cannot but say how old
we really are. Experience is the best teacher ever.
Your life's experience can teach us a lesson.
Now, can you please tell us how old you are?

STARTING TODAY
Take notice of something special.
Go barefoot. Walk on the beach at sunset.
Enjoy the flowers in the garden.
Learn to appreciate the beauty
that you see around you. Notice the good things
that are happening in your family or in your life.
Take note of the little kindness that others do.
Spend time with someone you love.
Spend time with the members of your family.
For as we get older, it is not the things that we did
that we regret, but the things we did not do.

EXCESS BAGGAGE
We rarely notice that life is a journey and we need to travel light.
Oftentimes, we need to feed our empty receptacle with excess;
yet, the hunger within is never satiated with merely material
things. Then we realize that we have tried so much to fill this up
and we rather not because the excess is too much. However,
we have to make a choice in a journey of no return - to discard
things or our perilous soul. There is no compromise in the world
of the unknown and our best choice can be worth a prize.
There is still the longing not to let go despite the limited time.
We hold on firmly and wish not to let go. Yet, time runs high.
Or we may miss this precious flight which needs to travel light.
We search for this destiny which welcomes only those who can
pass the narrow door of contentment. Finally, our detachment
earned us a place and never can we ever regret.
A choice we have made to travel light at all times . (Tam)

TOMORROW'S OPPORTUNITY
If we might have a second chance
To live the days once more,
And rectify mistakes we've made
To even up the score.
If we might have a second chance
To use the knowledge gained.
Perhaps we might become at last
As fine as God ordained.
But though we can't retrace our steps
However, stands the source,
Tomorrow brings another chance
For us to try once more.

The Flies and the Honey Pot
A jar of honey chanced to spill
Its content on the windowsill
In many a viscious pool and rill.
The flies, attracted by the sweet,
Began so greedily to eat,
They smeared their fragile wings and feet.
With many a twitch and pull in vain
They gasped to get away again,
And died in aromatic pain.
MORAL
O foolish creatures that destroy
Themselves for transitory joy.

Abiding Peace
Your hope is not in yourself;
It is in Christ.
Your weakness is united
to His strength, your ignorance
to His wisdom, your frailty
to His enduring might.
The greatest gifts you can give
your children are the roots of
responsibility and the wings of
independence.
Raising a child is very much
like building a skyscraper.
If the first few stories are
slightly out of line, no one will
notice. But when the building
is eighteen or twenty stories high,
everyone will see that it tilts.
